With the launch of Nokia X; Nokia stepped into the Android market with new hope and determination. Though Nokia Android phones are not really what a real Android because Nokia has limited the Google services. Nokia Android phones does not come with Playstore. In fact, they have their own store from where you can download android applications. However, there are still many ways to install plethora of Android applications on your beloved Nokia Android phone.
After a decent run of Nokia X, Nokia has finally announced its successor which will soon hit the markets. Yes, we are talking about Nokia X2 Dual Sim and here we are with the official Nokia X2 review for our readers.
Display and Build Quality:
Nokia X2 comes with a 4.3 inches display with 480×800 screen resolution and clear black technology. Well, the display resolution stays the same just like Nokia X but the screen size has seen an improvement of 0.3 inches. It has a IPS LCD which is used in most of the recent smartphones. Nokia X2 with a perfect 4.3 inches display is very comfortable to hold. It also comes with a scratch resistant display which is a plus point for a smartphone of this price category.
Processing Power:
On paper, Nokia X2 looks a perfect low mid range smartphone which comes with a Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, cortex A7 dual core CPU and Adreno 305 GPU which is pretty good to run normal graphic games. The best thing is that Nokia X2 has a 1 GB RAM which will definitely offer you a smooth Android experience. For this Nokia X2 review we compared its performance with Nokia X and as we expected Nokia X2 got better of Nokia X by miles.
Storage Capacity:
The disappointing thing is that it comes with a 4GB internal storage but it is expandable with a microSD card. However, a 8Gb internal storage would have been highly appreciated.
Connectivity:
Nokia X2 also comes with 3G support so it is confirmed that it will be huge hit in the Asian market considering the fact that it is a dual sim phone. It also has Wi-Fi connectivity which is always appreciated by Internet lovers out there. During the Nokia X2 review we expected sudden drop connection while using Wi-Fi but we expect that it is just a software issue and the retail unit will come out free from this issue.
Camera:
For this Nokia X2 review we did not go too much into the details of camera as we have planned to do separate post on this. However, Nokia X2 primary 5MP shooter impressed us. LED flash assisted us in taking some great pictures even at night so all in all camera is pretty good. But when we talk about front facing VGA camera, it is quite disappointing and we doubt that it might not be able to suffice your video calling requirements especially under low light.
Extras:
Well, if you use cloud storage for storing your data then here is good news for you. Nokia X2 will come with free 7GB free OneDrive storage. We know this is quite tempting for most of the readers.
Conclusion:
Nokia X2 will cost around 130 Euro. So, if you are looking for a good low mid end smartphone with good processing power and good day light camera capabilities then Nokia X2 is perfect smartphone. However, if you are looking for a smartphone for too much of video calling then we suggest you to go for something better as Nokia X2 has VGA front camera.
