Oppo F1 Plus Shows off 4 GB RAM and 5.5 inch Display

Oppo has announced today that the company is planning to add an upgraded version of Oppo F1 in its new ‘F’ series of smartphones. Oppo F1 Plus is the new entrant and it will be officially launched in April. This beast will come with 5.5 inch full HD display and 4 GB RAM. Oppo F1 Plus will definitely help company to gain some extra market shares and attract more people to the newly launched F series.

Oppo F1 Plus Camera

This announcement related to the launch of Oppo F1 Plus was made in the launch event of Oppo F1 in Mumubai. It was basically a teaser of the upcoming device. During this launch event the company focused on improved camera experience in the new smartphone. They specifically highlighted the front facing camera. Oppos F1 has 8MP f/2.0 front snapper with a 1/4″ sensor. So, one can expect something bigger in terms of hardware or some software side improvement.

Oppo F1 Plus Specs

At this point we are not 100% sure about the Oppo F1 Plus specs but we assume that it will share most of its specs with Oppo F1 and Oppo R7 series. We are sure that octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 SoC, 13 MP primary shooter, 8 MP or improved front facing camera, dual SIM and LTE support.

Oppo F1 Plus specs which are confirmed yet are that it will come with 5.5 inch Full HD display and 4 GB RAM. Looking at the assumed specifications it looks like that the new Oppo will be somewhat similar to Oppo R7s but will definitely have a superior camera.

At this point we are not sure about the Oppo F1 Plus price in India but we assume that it will cost something around INR 29,000.

Oppo F1 Alleged Specifications

Last week Oppo announced that company is working on its new camera centric smartphone series; Oppo F series. Well, this new smartphone series is nothing different from the one they have already but it will certainly bring a better camera experience and premium camera quality to mid range smartphone. They also revealed that Oppo F1 will be the very first smartphone of this series.

Oppo has not revealed any specifications of its upcoming Oppo F series smartphone; F1. However, multiple rumors are going around and here we have some alleged specifications.

According to rumored Oppo F1 specifications the smartphone will have a 5.5 inch 1080p display, 3 GB RAM, 13 MP primary camera and 8 MP front facing snapper. It will have Qualcomm MSM8939v2 Snapdragon 616 chipset clocked at 1.5 GHz.

Oppo has planned to launch this phone in two different colors; Gold and White.It is also expected that Company will officially unveil this smartphone in an event later this month. At this point we are quite excited about this new smartphone.

Oppo F1 – First Device of Oppo’s Camera Centric F Series

Oppos was a huge success amongst Android enthusiasts when it first came to the International market but then gradually company lost its charm. May be because they adapted a new policy of manufacturing good looking yet overpriced midrange smartphones. However, today company has announced that it will bring premium-tier camera quality to with its new Oppo F series smartphones and Oppo F1 will be the very first device of this series.

Oppo F1 – Slim and Metallic?

Well, today the company released some information about its upcoming Oppo F series. However, they have not mentioned any details related to the first smartphone of this series; Oppo F1. In the image revealed along side the slight information about new Oppo F series we could only see a slim metallic smartphone. This official image released by the company doesn’t reveal any information about the upcoming smartphone.

Oppo Vice President said.

The F series will inherit the excellent camera performance and exquisite design tradition that have earned accolades for OPPO’s flagship series.

So, it is quite clear that new Oppo F series will be no different from the existing Oppo smartphones as they have no plans to target the high end smartphone market.

Instead they are going to keep their original plan of targeting the bright mid range smartphone industry but will make it better by offering premium quality camera in the new Oppo F series.

Now this looks like a very wise marketing strategy. Since, they are talking about premium quality cameras in the mid range smartphones therefore everyone would be interested to invest less and yet get top notch camera performance. This will certainly go in Oppo’s way if they use the right pricing strategy with the upcoming Oppo F1.

Having said that we do not have any authentic news regarding the launch of Oppo F1 but we are hopeful to see it unveiling in the upcoming CES event.
