Microsoft Lumia 830 is a mid range smartphone with very decent specifications but according to Microsoft it has high end flagship specifications which creates a lot of confusion among the people. Lumia 830 is not a flagship smartphone by any means and such claims puts Microsoft marketing tactics under a question. Microsoft Lumia 830 has quadcore processor, 16GB internal storage with microSD support, 1GB RAM, 10MP pure view camera and 0.9MP front snapper. It is quite obvious from these specifications that Microsoft Lumia 830 is not at all a flagship device. However you can term it as ‘Mini’ flagship device.

With these specifications and a high price tag it looks quite difficult for it perform in the market where Moto G is already available at a much better price. Moto G has similar specifications but it has an advantage that it runs Android OS and this might mess up the whole Microsoft plans in India.

If Software giant expects to get the most out of this huge yet potential mobile market then Microsoft should use better pricing strategies otherwise company will not be able to do well in India.

Thanks to leaked images, we have also some solid specifications for this upcoming Windows Phone. If rumours are to be believed then Lumia 830 will have 4.5 inch screen with 720p display and better outdoor readability. Microsoft will go with its 20MP PureView camera for Lumia 830. They will use the same camera sensor as the one they are using in Lumia 1520. So, we can expect it have a very good camera quality.

Finally, Microsoft has listened to its customers and the company will provide microSD card support. It will have 16GB internal storage with microSD card support. So, for all those people who love to store a lot of media files on their smartphones will get a hefty storage to play around. We have rumours that it will come with snapdragon 801 and with at least 1GB RAM. Some reports even suggested that it might come out with 2GB RAM.

At this point we are not sure about the specifications of Nokia Lumia 830. These are all just speculations and rumours. For exact specifications details we will have to wait until the official announcement.

Just after the huge success of HTC M8, the company has decided to try out the same design in the  Windows Phone arena. There are multiple rumours going around that HTC is working on HTC One M8 Windows Phone version. If rumours are to be believed this is going to be exclusive for Verizon in the US and will be launched Internationally later this month. HTC launched its last Windows Phone HTC 8X back in 2012 and since then company has not worked on any new Windows Phone smartphone. So, right after 2 years we are going to see something big coming from the company.

We have already seen the HTC One M8 Windows Phone image and now we have the leaked specifications of the device as well. According to latest leaks, HTC One M8 Windows Phone version will come with Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box. Moreover, we also heard that it will have the same specifications just like its Android counter part and this would be the first instance when we will see any Windows Phone device with such premium hardware specifications.

If these rumours are to be believed then HTC One M8 Windows Phone will come out with Snapdragon 801 quadcore processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage with microSD card support and 2600mAh battery. It is believed that HTC will stick with its ultrapixel camera technology. HTC One M8 will have 5 inch super LCD 3 display protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and it will also come with HTC’s Boom sound. So, from the looks of it the competition in the Windows Phone market is getting high and this device will set new standards in the Windows Phone market.

It is expected that this device will be officially launched by the end of this month and if HTC really want to compete in the Windows Phone market then the company should come up with its own exclusive features just like Lumia devices. We are interested in seeing how Microsoft respond to a device like this which comes with top notch hardware and microSD support. We know one thing that increased competition will do a lot good to Windows Phone.

Today we have a news related to the release of 5 new exciting Windows Phones. QMobile might not be a popular and renowned mobile manufacturer on the International platform but company is quite popular in Vietnam. QMobile has somehow established a very good reputation in the local Vietnam market and keeping its tradition of introducing good smartphones with decent price tag, QMobile has launched 5 new windows phones smartphones in Vietnam.

As we mentioned earlier QMobile is known for introducing smartphones with great specifications and decent price tag.  Similarly, these new 5 Windows Phones from QMobile are incredible both in terms of price and specifications.

Dream W473 is the best of the lot with 4.7 inch HD screen, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage with microSD card support. You can get this device for $188. Next on our list is 6 inch phablet with 1280 x 720 screen resolution. It is officially known as Storm W610 and has 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage with microSD card support. This phablet is also available for $188.

Storm W410 is low end device with a price tag of $117. It has 4 inch WVGA display, 4GB internal storage with microSD card support and 1GB RAM. The last one Storm W408 is the least impressive as it has just 512MB RAM and won’t attract many people out there. However, considering the specifications QMobile has wisely priced Storm W408 at $103. So, this competitive price may be a selling point for this device.

Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 brings the much awaited folder feature in Windows Phone. If you still have not received your Windows Phone Cyan update you can still get Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 by signing up for Developers Preview Program. This new update brings some great feature like better message management, folder support to windows phone devices, update store and much more. With this new Windows Phone Update, Cortana is now available in more countries.

This update is specifically for the users who are into Developers Preview Program. For other users, it will take some time before this update starts rolling out officially.

If we compare the Windows Phone version with the Android version, it can be seen that the two devices look identical with a slight difference in the Boom sound speaker grills. The windows phone version of HTC One M8 will also come out with 5MP front facing camera. However, it is not clear yet if it will have a 4 ultrapixel primary camera or HTC will shift back to megapixels. And if HTC opts for megapixels instead of ultrapixels then it would definitely be because of the poor response they have received for the new camera technology which failed to impress people.

HTC One M8 Windows Phone will come out with  Windows Phone 8.1 GDR1 so it is expected that HTC will sell the dot view case for the device as accessory. We have seen HTC already testing out its dot view case on the HTC One M8. So, there are strong chances that HTC will also market its accessories as well.

HTC is all set for its New York event which is scheduled for 19th August. They have even sent out the invitations and we might see the official announcement for this new windows device in the New York event. However, there are reports that HTC One M8 Windows Phone will be officially announced for Verizon on 21st August.

We have rumours suggesting that HTC is working on  Windows Phone and we might see it by the end of thus year. According to the rumours HTC is trying out its HTC One M8 with Windows Phone and testing the possibility of launching a new windows phone smartphone which will look like HTC One M8 but will run on  a different operating system.

At the moment Windows phone market is dominated by Nokia, now acquired by Microsoft, but with a premium device just like HTC One M8 running windows phone 8 might get the attention of consumers. Nokia Lumia series comes out with loads of exclusive features so the best bid to attract some windows phone users is to come out with a premium looking design and some great specifications.

So, for now we will have to wait until some official announcement.

Next week more windows phone users will be able to sign up for BBM. Well, if you are not sure if this strategy will work or not then we would suggest you to go few weeks back and see how this sign up strategy worked out when 10,000 people signed up for BBM within 24 hours.

The best thing about BBM for windows phone will be that it will make the most of the Windows phone UI and will offer a top notch messaging experience. Though BBm for windows phone is still in beta stage so you should not expect some bugs and issues but they will be sorted out with every update. Well, BBM for windows phone might not get all the features we see in BBM for Android and IOS but still it will offer a great messaging experience. BBM voice and stickers will soon be available for windows phone.

We will have to wait  and see how BBM works on windows phones and will BlackBerry be able to make it a huge hit on Windows phones just like other mobile platforms.

Initially, Microsoft told that live lock screen for windows 8.1 will only work on the Windows Phone with 1 GB RAM. However, Microsoft has worked on this application and now it can also work on windows phone with 512MB RAM. This means that recently launched cheapest windows phone Lumia 530 can even run this application.

Live lock screen for windows 8.1 is still in beta stage so you might face some bugs and issues with the application. It is advised that if you face any issues then you should provide feedback to Microsoft asap so that the company can work on making it a better and bug free application.

And now we have yet another cheap windows phone from Microsoft. Well, it could have been Nokia but Microsoft has already acquired it. So, Microsoft has finally unveiled the successor of Nokia Lumia 520. Lumia 530, the successor of Nokia Lumia 520 is the cheapest Windows Phone available in the market.

Lumia 530 has 4 inch display with 854 x 480 resolution which also improves the ppi. Thus, Lumia 530 comes with a better outdoor readability. The design of this new device is not as good as we expected and it is a bit too thick. Though it has Sanpdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz but the RAM is only 512MB which is a huge drawback. This means you will only get few applications from windows store which will run on Lumia 530. We do not want to be harsh but do not try to run the latest applications especially games on your Lumia 530 because they will not run on 512 MB RAM. The internal storage is only 4GB but it has microSD support which is in fact a good point about this device.

It has 5 MP primary camera with no flash and HD video recording support. Lumia 530 does not eve come with front facing camera but considering the fact it costs just around $100 it is the best you can have in this price range. The best thing about this device is that it comes with the latest Windows Phone 8.1 so expect some new features coming your way including Cortana.
