However, for us the most innovative thing from Sony’s part was the introduction of 4k display on Sony Xperia  Z5 premium with 800+ ppi. It was a jaw dropping moment for all of us.

Huawei at IFA 2015

Huawei also proved that the company has the potential to knock down big guns with the kind of innovation they are bringing in. Huawei Mate S was the center of attention at Huawei’s IFA 2015 event. The new force touch feature looks innovative and promising. It would be interesting to see how company is going to use this new feature in its upcoming smartphones.

Lenovo at IFA 2015

Well most of us might not consider Lenovo a strong competitor in the smartphone market but company sent a strong message to everyone at IFA 2015 with the launch of Lenovo Vibe S1.  Well, honestly speaking we were greatly impressed with the dual front cameras and we consider it a very handy innovation which companies like Samsung and Apple can adapt and make it more interesting.

Lenovo Vibe S1 comes with dual front camera. The primary 8MP camera is used for taking pictures while the secondary 2MP camera is used for measuring the depth the field. This results in high quality images with lots of detail.

However, Kevin Yang has not shared any evidence to back his claim. But as we know iSuppli is ranked amongst the largest Mobile analytic company therefore we assume that they will not share anything which might hamper the reputation of the company.

As we already know that Google will come up with two different Nexus smartphones this year. One of them will high end and will be manufactured by none other than LG. However, for the second Nexus smartphone which will be certainly priced reasonably will be either manufactured by Huawei or some other manufacturer. Since different rumors and sources are suggesting that Huawei has already been chosen as the other manufacturer therefore we assume that for the first time Google will partner up with a Chinese manufacturer for Nexus smartphone.

If this news is true then this will certainly go in favor of Huawei. As this will help the company to elevate your mobile shares in the region where they have very less or no exposure. Moreover, this will also help the company to promote the homemade Kirin chipset.

This time around Google is planning to launch two different Nexus smartphones. LG will manufacture one of them and as per the leaks Huawei might manufacture the other one. LG was the manufacturer of Nexus 5 which did pretty well in the International market.

Let us put forward one interesting fact. Google has never partnered before with any Chinese manufacturer for the Nexus smartphone. It was HTC who launched the first Nexus smartphone followed by a couple of sammy and LG nexus smartphones. Last year it was Motorola who got the honors of manufacturing the Nexus 6.

According to the source, the company is deciding is whether to use their own manufactured chipset for the Nexus smartphone or go with Qualcomn. This clearly hints that Huawei is the company Google is in talk for the manufacture of next Google phone.

This is indeed a classic way of advertisement. From what we have seen this new Android wear looks pretty classic and luxurious. From all the smartwatches we have seen till date, this is the one that has impressed a lot when it comes to design and craftsmanship. However, we are eagerly waiting for the official launch and announcement. So, we can test it out and see how it fares among other Android wears.

Lately Huawei has introduced a LTE smartband. So, we assume that Huawei watch will also come out with LTE support. If this is true then it will be a major selling point for the watch along with its classic design.

According to latest news, Huawei Watch will be launched at MWC along with Huawei Ascend P8. We are just a couple of days from the MWC event. We will try our best to bring live stream of the even for our readers from all over the world.

It has 5.5 inch 720p IPS LCD display. Unfortunately it does not come with a protective layer of Gorilla Glass 3. Huawei Ascend G7 is the first 64 bit Android smartphone from the company. It comes with 64 bit Snapdragon 410 chipset, quadcore processor clocked at 1.2GHz with cortex A53. It has  13MP primary camera and 5MP front facing camera. We expect that 13MP primary camera will definitely do well especially under low light conditions. However, we will be able to test it out in detail in our Huawei G7 Review.

The good thing about Huawei G7 is that it comes with 3000mAh battery which has enough juice to keep the device running for 2 full days. It comes out with Android 4.4 KitKat and latest Huawei Emotion UI 3.0. According to the company, it will be upgraded to Android L as soon as it is released.

Though Huawei Ascend G7 is a pretty good mid range smartphone but we have already seen better devices like HTC Desire 820. So, a Huawie should go for good marketing and pricing strategy otherwise this smartphone will not be able to perform good in the market. Accoridng to early report, it is will be priced around $390 in Europe at the time of its release.

Huawei Ascend Mate7 Review:

Connectivity:

The basic purpose of a smartphone is to make calls but these days most of the online websites neglect covering connectivity and voice quality in their reviews. But here at SmartphoneTechie it is our priority to check out the voice quality and include it in our review.

Huawei Ascend Mate7 has both 3G and LTE connectivity. It comes with the latest Bluetooth 4.0. NFC and offers USB on the go feature. In our call quality review this device performed very well. Though call quality was not as good as we expected but still it was better than many other latest smartphones. We would rate it 3.5 out of 5 in our call quality test.

FingerPrint Scanner:

In our Huawei Ascend Mate7 review we tested out the fingerprint scanner. Company advertised the new technology they have used in the smartphone and we were impressed with the responsiveness of the sensor. It worked great. You just have to record your finger print once and then you only have to place it and it will work flawlessly.

Display and Build Quality:

In our Huawei Ascend Mate7 Review we were greatly impressed with the looks and design of this beautiful smartphone. It is just the perfect premium device one can expect. Since, it has a 6 inch display therefore it might not be easy to use and if you expect it to use it with one hand then forget about it.

It has 6 inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 1920 screen resolution. The display is covered with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to offer the desired protection. The overall display looks pretty good. We played different videos in our Huawei Ascend Mate7 review to test out the quality of its display and we were left spell bound with beautiful and stunning display quality. Everything look so colorful and lively on a beautiful 6 inch display.

Performance:

This is the most important section of our Huawei Ascend Mate7 Review. Ascend Mate7 has Huawei made HiSilicon Kirin 925 chipset with quadcore processor clocked at 1.8GHz with Cortex A15, Mali-T628 GPU and 2GB RAM. The good thing is that 32GB version comes with 3GB RAM. On paper these specifications look amazing but unfortunately it does not perform as good as we expect. HiSilicon Kirin 925 is good but we already have better chipsets like Snapdragon 805out in the market therefore Ascend Mate7 failed to impress in the benchmark results.

Camera:

Huawei Ascend Mate7 comes with 13MP camera but unfortunately it disappoints to impress. As we have mentioned in past that it is no more the game of pixels. There are many other factors which govern the over quality of image. The images we took with this device were not great, exposure was off. However, we are hopeful that the company will fix the over exposure issues in the software updates. Apart from this it has a decent camera which gives adequate details.

It has 5MP front facing camera capable of recording 720p videos. The front camera looks good to take selfies and it will get better with updates as we believe the amount of noise can be reduced.

Conclusion:

We were impressed with this beautiful device in our Huawei Ascend Mate7 Review. It has innovative design and it will certainly impress many people looking for a device with premium looks and design. However, camera is the only let down but we expect that it will get better with few software updates.

Connectivity:

So, let’s start our Huawie Ascend G6 review with connectivity and networks this device supports. Since, it is a kind of a mini version of Huawei Ascend P6 therefore it does not come with LTE support however it does come with 3G and supports 900/2100 frequency bands. So, if your network provider offers 3G then you should check if Huawei  Ascend G6 supports that frequency band or not. As far as the call quality is considered we were not greatly impressed as it had a lot of noise and we drop the call a couple of times. May be it was due to bad network but we tried the same mobile network on HTC One M8 and we had crystal clear call quality. So, it was something with Huawei Ascend G6 and not with out mobile network.

With Hhuawei Ascend G6 you get Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. We were disappointed not to see NFC in this device.

Display and Build Quality:

It has  a 4.5 inch IPS LCD display with 540 x 960 screen resolution. So, if you are expecting something extraordinary from its display then you will end up getting disappointed. It has a very ordinary display with nothing boast about. In our outdoor visibility test it failed to impress us and we were quite disappointed with display in our Huawie  Ascend G6 review.

Since it has 4.5 inch display therefore it is feels very easy to handle this device and for us it is perfect for one hand use. If you have small hands even then you will find it comfortable to hold this device and yes do not forget its premium looks that can make anyone to fall for it.

Performance:

In  our Huawei Ascend G6 review we were excited to find out how this device performs in benchmark results. Though it is not a flagship device by any means but still it did pretty well in the benchmark results. It has a quadcore processor clocked at 1.2Ghz with IGB RAM. Well, it is not a big performer and we would term it as an average performer. As far as the internal storage is considered it comes with 4GB internal storage with microSD card.

Camera:

The camera of Huawei Ascend G6 is not the best. It has 8MP primary shooter but it failed to impress us in our Huawei Ascend G6 review. We were disappointed to see poor image quality with lots of noise. The low light photos were disaster. The front facing 5Mp is good for selfies but do not expect it to do wonders for you.

Final Words:

Huawei Ascend G6 is a decent device but it not the best smartphone you can get in mid range. Though it promises a lot but fails to deliver. If you are photography lover and loves to take lot of photos with your phone then this device is not made for you.

Huawei Ascend P7 has a home made quadcore processor with 2GB RAM and a perfect 8MP front facing camera which is considered best for taking selfies. It is not just the Ascend P7 which helped the company is boosting up the sales. Huawei Mate 2 also played a vital role in the success of the company as it performed pretty well in the mid range smartphone league. All in all this year has resulted in huge sales which puts company among the top selling smartphone manufacturers.

Chinese smartphone manufacturers like Huawei and Xiaomi are doing pretty well at the International level and with their attempts to expand their International market reach one can expect them to to give stern competition to companies like Samsung, HTC and Sony in the International arena by next year.

Since IFA is just around the corner so Huawei has started sending out invites for its event which will be held in IFA. Chinese manufacturer is expected to launch a new flagship device at this event and it is expected to be a game changer for the company. Company has high hopes from its upcoming smartphone and expect it to perform much better than Ascend P7.
