This is the time when we should be expecting something big from Sony. Yes, we all know that Sony has a habit of announcing 2 flagship smartphones in a year. This is the time when we start getting some inside news related to next Sony flagship. And here we are with some inside news related to upcoming Sony flagship Xperia Z3. According to SmartphoneTechie’s sources, Sony has started taking the criticism on its cameras seriously and they are working on something big to improve the quality of images.
Though Xperia Z3 will come with the same 20.7 MP resolution camera but it is expected that Sony will tweak its image processing algorithms. We even heard that Sony has hired a new software engineer who is working on tweaking the Sony’s poorly developed image processing algorithms. Most of the people might think that the issue is with sensors but actually it is not true. Sony provide camera sensors to both Apple and Samsung and we all know that both these companies are ahead of Sony in terms of image quality.
The major change which we can expect in Xperia Z3 is a drastic improvement in Camera quality. This means that we will have no more grainy images. Moreover, it is expected that Sony Xperia Z3 will have better stereo speakers. When we say better speakers it does not mean that Z2 has bad speakers but it simply means to be as good as we have on HTC One M8.
So, with these couple of improvements we can expect Sony Xperia Z3 to be the Smartphone king of 2014.
It’s about time Sony did something about its camera quality. Although the current IPS display on Z2 is good, Sony might want to bring it up a notch with more sunlight legible and less reflective panel.

I agree with you.I am a huge Sony fan since Sony Ericsson days. As it is stated in the article that issue is not with the sensor it lies with their software. They should improve it.
I hope they improve the image processing algorithims in Xperia Z. I am Sony fans since SOny Ericsson days and lately they are quite disappointing with the quality of their cameras.

Sony said after sell Vaio they will focus on Xperia, may Z3 will be the first view of what we can expect from Sony. But about the dual speaker, even they are not good as HTC, Z2 is water proof HTC isn’t that should be taken in consideration but anyway I am pretty sure Sony will find a way to make it better. I’m really waiting to see what Sony will bring us.

Camera with Z series has taken a serious downfall… It’s good they are working on their software though I doubt it and still it’s a year too late
