Jolla sailfish OS is out for quite sometime now and the company has even launched a couple of smartphones running sailfish OS. When Sailfish OS first hit the market it was greeted warmly not only by the geeks but also by the people. It is an operating system which is quite different from other OS we have in the market. It is somewhat similar to WebOs, this means that it works on gestures and does not have any physical buttons at all.
Though buying a new Jolla smartphone running sailfish operating system might be expensive and may be majority of you may not want to spend $475 on a mid range device. But what if we tell you that you can enjoy the sailfish experience without spending a single dollar? How does this sound? We heard that Jolla launcher is expected to hit the play store in coming days and now we have official news that everything is final. Jolla is all set to try alpha testing and for this they need people to test it out for them.
If you want to try out the all new sailfish operating system then you will have to participate in their alpha testing. In order to get the link for Jolla launcher you will have to follow a simple process.
- Create an account on Google (no need if you already have one). Send an email to jolla-launcher@jolla.com before June, 27th, 2014.
- Mention your and device name in the email.
- They will send you installation link with instructions.
According to Jolla, your information shall be kept private and your email will solely be used for registering for the alpha community. However, there are few conditions in order to participate in the alpha testing.
- You must either own Nexus 4 or Nexus 5.
- You should be willing to share your feedback and report bugs you faced in the testing of Jolla launcher.
