Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 had been awaited for long as it was supposed to come loaded with some unique features. It was also supposed to revolutionise the way people interact with laptops.
In a supposedly unique move, Microsoft has decided to lure Macbook Air owners by offering a deal that is hard to refuse. Of course they have done which was not expected or anticipated.
Microsoft is offering a whopping $650 to anyone who decides to trade their MacBook Air with the Surface Pro 3 at their US and Canadian retail stores. Hard to believe? Well, see for yourself by visiting one of their stores in US or Canada.
This offer for trade in will last till 31st july and it would be interesting to see how many people decide to go for a trade in. To be eligible for a trade in, your device should be in working condition. The offer also says that water clogged or cracked devices are not eligible for the trade in offer.
This offer cannot be availed online and can only be availed in person at the retail outlets. They will offer $650 credit when a person brings along his MacBook Air and uses it to purchase a Surface Pro 3. Currently the version for the immediate sale is available with i5 and with variations of 128GB and 256GB models. The 128GB model is priced at $999 while the 256GB is priced at $1299.
At a price like this the users get a chance to try out the new style that Microsoft is trying to introduce in the market. Microsoft has worked meticulously hard to favourably pit the Surface Pro 3 against the MacBook Air. This device has been awaited for long, that is supposed to replace normal laptop computers. The Surface Pro 3 is a tablet that also serves the purpose of an ultrabook.
With the Surface Pro 3 Microsoft expects it to replace the laptops and change the way people do computing. It is a large step and only time will determine that whether the users will shift to the new style.
