When the IDPs of Waziristan need our help Mobilink comes out to help them. Mobilink is the first telecommunication company of Pakistan which reaches out to IDPs in order to help them.
A ceremony was help in Rawalpindi Race Course Park where Mobilink Foundation handed over the packages to Pakistan Army. These packages will be distributed among the IDPs of North Waziristan which are residing in temporary camps set up in the province of Khyber Paktoon-e-Khaan because of the on going Zarb-e-Azm mission.
Pakistan Army has launched Zarb-e-Azm mission against the terrorists residing in the North Waziristan area. This operation has forced the local people to leave their houses and migrate to other provinces. Various camps have been set up by Pakistan Army, Government of Pakistan, Provincial Government of Khyber Paktoon-e-Khaan and other national and international NGOs.
Mobilink foundation will work with Pakistan Army for the relief of the displaced people. For this Mobilink has set up various collection centers in the country to offer both edible and non-edible items to the IDPs. Apart from this, Mobilink has also set up primary and secondary schools within the camps where around 1500 young IDPs are taught by 30 teachers.
Other companies should follow the steps of Mobilink and reach out to IDPs.
