Just when Apple implemented finger print sensor in its iPhone 5s for the Apple store payment verification other manufacturers like HTC and Samsung also came up with the same idea and used the finger print reader for unlocking the device and authorizing Paypal payments. In all honesty, Apple was the only company who implemented this feature at its best while the other two companies could still do it better.
And now we see Samsung teasing with a new Samsung retina scanner which we might see in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4. We believe that the retina scanner in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will not only be used for the payment authorization but can also be used to unlock the device. This will be a great breakthrough in mobile technology if Samsung manages to implement it.
According to the leaks Galaxy Note 4 has 3.6 MP front facing camera but the question here is will this be enough to scan retina? Well, Note 4 will make its first appearance at IFA later this year so till then we will have to wait to know if the Samsung retina scanner is reality of just another rumour.
