QMobile is a very popular smartphones brand in Pakistan and has managed to gain popularity within no time. This company is known for producing top notch smartphones and offering them to customers at a very reasonable price tag. So, here we are with detailed review of QMobile’s latest flagship device QMobile Noir Quatro Z5.
Connectivity:
QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 supports 3G and with different cellular networks expanding their 3G coverage in Pakistan this new smartphone from QMobile will certainly sell like hot cakes. The 32GB model also support LTE so this is a pretty good news for Warid and Zong customers. QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 lacks NFC connectivity but it comes with Bluetooth 4.0 and supports USB 2.0 on the go.
Display and Build Quality:
QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 comes with 5.5 inch full HD display protected by Gorilla Glass 3. This is the first instance that a local manufacturer has launched a full HD display smartphone and that too with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The IPS LCD display of QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 has a ppi of 401 which makes it easy to use this beautiful device outdoors. It weighs around 150g and with rounded back you will find it comfortable to hold this 5.5 inch display device.
Processing Power:
For this detailed QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 review we carried out multiple benchmarks tests in order to find out the real processing power of this new flagship device from QMobile. Results were quite impressive and they were supposed to be impressive because QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 packs a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz and Adreno 330 GPU with 2GB RAM (32GB model has 3GB RAM). The other version of QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 comes with same processor and GPU but is slightly over clocked at 2.5GHz. Snapdragon 800 is indeed a beast when it comes to sheer performance. Latest smartphones from other manufactures like Sony Xperia Z1 also comes with Snapdragon 800.
Though QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 could not beat Sony Xperia Z1 in benchmark results but it was not far behind. We were stunned to see how well it did against Sony Xperia Z1 in benchmark tests.
Gaming Performance:
We tried out multiple high end games on our QMobile Quatro Z5 during the review. Our device played every game flawlessly. The gaming experience is simply amazing. You will hardly feel any lag. The top notch display presents close to real life graphics and we really liked overall gaming performance of this beautiful device.
Storage Capacity:
The only thing that disappointed us while doing this review was on-board storage capacity. QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 comes with only 16GB built in storage and regretfully it does not even comes with microSDd card support. So, if you want to store a lot of media and photos on your device then it will definitely disappoint you. There’s another 32GB model but even this lacks microSD card support.
Camera:
We were greatly impressed with the camera capabilities during QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 review. It has 16 MP primary shooter with autofocus and LED flash. The camera application of QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 is quite impressive as it comes with two different pro and simple modes thus giving you more command while taking photos. Camera not only performed well in daylight but it also surpassed our expectations in low light but still we feel that it has some area to improve in camera department especially the loss details can be annoying at times.
If you are selfie lover then this smartphone is made for you as it comes 8 MP front facing camera. It will not only suffice your needs for selfies but will also meet your video calling requirements.
Interface and Battery:
Well, it is 2014 but still QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 comes Android 4.2. This is quite disappointing. You can get 4.3 or even KitKat device from other manufacturer for a decent amount 35,000pkr. The interface is not pretty impressive and needs overhaul.
It comes with 2500 mAh and we expect it could have been a little bigger but still we got a pretty decent battery life of almost two days with normal usage in our QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 review considering the fact that it has full HD screen.
Conclusion:
All in all, QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 is a complete package and we were quite impressed with it during our review. If you are someone who is more interested in a bigger built in storage and microSD card support then it is not device for you. The fact that in 2014 it comes with Android 4.2 will disappoint many out there. But apart from this it is pretty good device considering a price tag of 35,000 pkr.
If you can compromise on the storage and user interface then we bet you cannot find any better device in this price range.
We hope you liked our QMobile Noir Quatro Z5 review. We will be back with an interesting review of some other device.
