Few months back a reddit user posted his story on the reddit related to his Samsung Galaxy S4. One day he was woken by the burnt smell of his Samsung Galaxy S4 and he found that his phone was overheated and started melting which was a surprise for him. He was using all genuine accessories from Samsung and still this case of over night charging resulted in overheating and melting of Samsung Galaxy S4.
He contacted Samsung and was promised to receive a new replacement with a box to send his damaged Samsung Galaxy S4. Although he received the box to send his damaged unit but never received the replacement. He kept on contacting the company and every time they would promise him to send the replacement but he never received it and finally they started ignoring him.
Few days back he was sharing his sad story on reddit where HTC Product Manager promised him to send a new HTC One M8 as a replacement. The condition HTC Product Manager put up was that if in near future he receives replacement unit from Samsung then he would give it away in charity or sell it and give the funds to some charitable organization. This is great gesture of kindness from a company like HTC who has helped out many people in the past as well.
Now for a company like Samsung this is disgrace and we are sure that theyhave not lost the victim as their customer but also those who are reading this story. However, we would still love to see how Samsung reacts to this.
