Last month we broke the news that Moto X and Moto G will get Android L. And now we have official news that Moto X will get Android L. According to VP of Motorola Moto X will soon get the latest version of Android, Android L. He broke this news officially on Google+, when one of the Moto X users asked about Android L update for Moto X. Moto X was launched under Google but later Lenovo acquired Motorola and they still managed to roll out updates quickly.
Moto X was actually one of the best selling smartphones of Motorola last year and the company is already working on its successor, Moto X+1. Though it is not official yet but we might see its successor by the end of this year.
Moto X has 4.7 inch AMOLED display with 720×1280 screen resolution. At the time of release this device had the latest hardware with a very decent price tag and this eventually lead to huge sales. Thus leading to a better year for Motorola on the whole.
Though Punit Soni, VP of Motorola, told that Motorola X will get Android L but we do not have any exact date and this puts us on a long wait. However, a good history of the company with quick updates is something to look forward and one can expect that Moto X will be the first device to get this new update just after the Nexus devices.
There’s nothing better than knowing that your device will get the next major update 😀
