Samsung, which has forayed deep into the Android Smartphone market, and come out with their iconic and flagship Galaxy series, high-end models aimed at pleasing the world’s ever growing upper middle and wealthy sector has decided to come out with the announcement of a mid-range model before their next big release. Dubbed Samsung A5000, the phone comes packed with all the features that befit its price tag, if not more. The manufacturers are hoping for a good, positive response to the device so as to rake in the share of a new market, not entirely dominated by them.
To begin with, the Samsung A5000 runs on Android 4.4.4, KitKat. The Operating System, which is the current generation from the Android market, is a given and there seems to be no problems with the System.
The screen display comes added with a 4.8 inch and 720p touchscreen, a 12 MP rear camera and a 5 MP “selfie taking” front camera. The makers have made sure to not leave any stone unturned in terms of looks and have beefed up the optical specs of the device. The phone also comes with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, not bad for a mid-range phone.
The phone’s most important asset is the Adreno 206 GPU, which means running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset is a 64-bit one, making it the first of its kind from Qualcomm, quite an improvement. Based on an ARM Cortex- A53 Architecture.
Added standard features that Samsung A5000 comes with include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, compass and gyroscope and not very surprisingly, it does not contain NFC or a barometer. At the end of the day, the phone is a pared down version of the Alpha series by Samsung but looks like a decent fit.
