Sony has finally announced the much awaited Sony Xperia Z3. Sony has stick with its policy of announcing two flagship devices in a calendar year. This time around Sony has disappointed the customer by announcing a device similar to Sony Xperia Z2. People had huge expectations from Xperia Z3 but unfortunately it does not meet the expectations of people and disappoints every Sony fan out there.
Sony Xperia Z3 is nothing different from 6 months old Xperia Z2. Xperia Z3 has 2.5Ghz Krait 400 processor with Snapdragon 801 chipset. The fact that Snapdragon 805 is already available in the market but still Sony preferred to launch Z3 with previous generation 801 chipset is quite annoying. Though 801 is still a performance beast but the use of old technology when you already have the latest technology available is quite absurd. Sony Xperia Z3 has 3GB RAM, 20.7MP camera, 2.2MP front camera and 3100mAh.
Well, these specifications look pretty good on paper but this reminds us of another smartphone from Sony. Yes, we are talking about Sony Xperia Z2. We do not see anything new from the company in the specifications and this disappoints many customers who were looking for something great considering the fact Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 6 are also heading to market along with Sony Xperia Z3.
However, the only difference we notice is in the design department. Sony has done a pretty good job by getting rid of thick bezels. Sony has reduced bezels by 1mm and have reduced the weight of Xperia Z3 by 11g. This makes Xperia Z3 thinner and lighter than its predecessor Sony Xperia Z2.
We also notice some great color scheme from Sony. Sony has dumped the purple colour for its flagship device and this time the company has introduced two new colours; Silver-Green and Copper. Copper looks a bit glossy but overall the new colour scheme from the company is quite impressive. Sony has announced that the new flagship device will hit the market by the end of this month and it will cost something around $750.
