So finally we have the successor of one of the most popular smartphones from last year. Motorola has announced the new Moto X with better specifications and features. It is interesting to note that Motorola has opted for the name “The New Moto X” instead of the rumored Moto X+1. Anyways, company has done an extraordinary work on the new flagship device and it is quite evident from its looks, features and specifications.
The new Moto X gives the look of a premium smartphone and the credit goes to its aluminum frame and leather back. And yes if you are interested in wooden backs then you can have wooden backs manufactured using FSC certified trees. Moreover, you will be able to customize your New Moto X through Moto maker just like the predecessor. Moto Maker offers a lot of customization options and customizes your Motorola device as per your requirements.
We are impressed with the specifications of new Moto X. The new Motorola flagship smartphone comes with Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2.5GHz quadcore processors, 2GB RAM, Adreno 330 GPU and 16/32 GB internal storage options. However, it does not have any mircroSD card slot. This is quite disappointing and we do not understand the reason behind dumping the microSD card slot.
Motorola has also upgraded the display of new Moto X. The new Moto X has 5.2inch full HD Amoled display. Samsung is another manufacturer using Amoled displays for its high end smartphone and now Motorola has also joined Samsung. There’s no doubt Amoled displays are great as they offer great image viewing experience but these displays consumes a lot of battery especially when the background is white. So, you might notice quick battery drainage while browsing.
The new Moto X comes with 13MP primary snapper. The new 13MP camera is capable of recording 4K videos and has dual LED flash which will come to use in low light conditions. This new device comes with the latest Android 4.4.4 and it will be updated to Android L as soon as it is commercially released by Google. Motorola has also priced it extremely well. It will be available for just $499 without any contract. Once again the wise pricing strategy will definitely make the new Moto X as one of the bestselling smartphones of the year. However, the lack of microSD card support might annoy few people who were looking forward to buy it. But still at this it is the best available option.
WOW great specifications and amazing price! I am impressed with this!
