Well, there was group of people who thought that IFA 2015 would be boring just because Samsung has already announced its Galaxy Note 5. And without Galaxy Note 5 event would be dull and boring. However, it was just opposite of what they expected and it took them all with surprise. Smartphone manufacturers like Sony, Lenovo and Huawei surprised everyone with the quality of innovation they brought in smartphone industry.
Sony at IFA 2015
So, let’s start with what Sony brought to IFA 2015 in terms of innovation. There were high expectations from Sony as company did not launch any formal flagship device after Sony Xperia Z3. And to our surprise Sony came back with a bang with announcement of new Sony Xperia Z5 series.

Sony not only introduced a new 23MP camera sensor in its new Xperia Z5 series but also introduced a fingerprint sensor. Let us make it clear that till date Sony has the biggest camera resolution on Android devices and it is indeed a great achievement for the company. Moreover, company also claim that they have the fastest auto-focus in the industry.
However, for us the most innovative thing from Sony’s part was the introduction of 4k display on Sony Xperia Z5 premium with 800+ ppi. It was a jaw dropping moment for all of us.
Huawei at IFA 2015
Huawei also proved that the company has the potential to knock down big guns with the kind of innovation they are bringing in. Huawei Mate S was the center of attention at Huawei’s IFA 2015 event. The new force touch feature looks innovative and promising. It would be interesting to see how company is going to use this new feature in its upcoming smartphones.
Lenovo at IFA 2015
Well most of us might not consider Lenovo a strong competitor in the smartphone market but company sent a strong message to everyone at IFA 2015 with the launch of Lenovo Vibe S1. Well, honestly speaking we were greatly impressed with the dual front cameras and we consider it a very handy innovation which companies like Samsung and Apple can adapt and make it more interesting.
Lenovo Vibe S1 comes with dual front camera. The primary 8MP camera is used for taking pictures while the secondary 2MP camera is used for measuring the depth the field. This results in high quality images with lots of detail.
