After Xiaomi Gionee has decided to start manufacturing smartphones in India with the help of Foxconn and Dixcon. Company has decided to invest a huge amount of $50 million within next 3 years in India. This is definitely a huge investment and will not only benefit company but India as well.

According to the latest update, Foxconn facility Andhara Pradesh will be responsible for the production of Gionee L and P series smartphones whereas Dixcon facility will produce feature phones for now. Company plans to start manufacturing high end smartphones in Dixcon facility as well. Both Fixconn and Dixcon manufacturing plants have capability of manufacturing 1.2 million phones per month and they will start production of Gionee phones from next month.
Gionee also plans to invest in the software department here in India. This will help customers to get the latest software updates along with the support.
