We recently heard that Facebook is in works of developing a messaging application just like Snapchat. This self destructive application from Facebook is named Slingshot. This application allows people to send pictures and video with captions and the message is automatically destroyed after few seconds.
Slingshot is somewhat different from Snapchat as you first have to reply to the person in order to view the message. This application let’s you take the screenshot of the message unlike the snapchat. Facebook accidentally put this app on the Apple’s app store and then quickly took it down. However, there were few people who actually used this application gave pretty good reviews about Slingshot. Facebook has finally put it on playstore. You can download it from here.
Few months back we heard that Facebook was interested in buying Snapchat but snapchat turned down $3 billion offer from Facebook. And just after this incident Facebook decided to come up with its own app. It looks that for Facebook it works like “If you cannot buy them then create an application similar to them.”
