Few hours back we revealed that Apple iPhone 6 will come out with 13 MP camera. And now we have another news related to iPhone 6. According to research carried out JP Morgan it was revealed that not all models of iPhone 6 will come with sapphire glass and it will only be limited to few iPhone 6. The percentage of iPhone 6 models using sapphire display can be as low as 1%.
This sounds quite legitimate because sapphire glass costs around $35 more than gorilla glass and this would definitely increase the cost of iPhone 6. So, Apple does not want to gamble this way and will limit sapphire glass to only few devices. So, the inside reports suggest that Apple will have sapphire glass only for 128 GB model of iPhone 6. The policy of Apple looks good at the moment. To have sapphire glass for a high end device will not effect the sales too much even if it is slightly priced higher than normal. Apple make most of the revenue from the sales of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB iPhone models. So, if they are priced too high then this will definitely fire back and might result in annoying some loyal Apple fans.
We even heard that iWatch will also have the sapphire glass but now it is confirmed that only few iWatches will come with sapphire glass and the reason behind this stays the same as Apple does not want to over price its products at this point considering the fact that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will make debut along side iPhone 6.
So, all those previous reports suggesting that 64 GB model iPhone 6 with 5.5 inch display aka iPhone Air will come with sapphire glass were wrong. So, if you are expecting that iPhone 6 will come with sapphire display then it’s better that you should stop thinking about this too much because only few devices will have it and they will most probably be insanely priced.
