QMobile Noir i12 Review: Better Than Many but Not the Best

QMobile Noir i12

Yesterday we covered a detailed review of QMobile’s latest flagship QMobile Noir Quatro Z5. And today we are once again doing review for yet another QMobile smartphone. We had QMobile’s latest mid range smartphone in our office for last few days and after trying it out for few days here we are with detailed QMobile Noir i12 review.

Connectivity:

QMobile Noir i12 is a dual sim stand by smartphone which also supports 3G. Now almost every smartphone is coming out with 3G support and this is a pretty good point considering the fact that now 3G is finally available in Pakistan. Just like other QMobile smartphones it does not come NFC but you do get Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity which is very important.

Display and Build Quality:

QMobile Noir i12 has 5 inch LCD display with 720×1280 resolution. Well, we expected something good from QMobile in terms of display but we were quite disappointed. Outdoor visibility was not as good as we expected. The display is not the best when we compare it with other smartphones of this price range but still it is not too bad.

Though QMobile Noir i12 has 5 inch display but still it is very comfortable to handle. You can use it with single hand with no issues at all. It has a complete plastic body and is available in two colours Black and White. The plastic body feels good to hold.

Processing Power:

Though QMobile Noir i12 is mid range smartphone with a price tag of 22,000 pkr but it comes with cortex A7 which is actually a entry level processor. In our QMobile Noir i12  review we were quite disappointed to find out its poor processing power. Most of the people will go crazy knowing that they are getting a quad-core smartphone clocked at 1.3 GHz but it is no more games of core. It is quite disappointing that you are getting a entry level processor at a price of 22,000 pkr and as expected it failed to impress in benchmark results. However, 2GB RAM is good point and it definitely covers up for the under power processor to some extent.

Internal Storage:

We really do not understand the logic behind 16GB internal storage with no microSD card support. People love to store a lot of music, photos and videos on their smartphone and 16 GB internal storage is not enough by any means. QMobile should at least give microSD card support in their smartphones. Well, if you use Dropbox then you will get an extra 2 GB of free space with QMobile Noir i12.

Camera:

We were looking forward to see how 13 MP camera performs in our QMobile Noir i12 review. Camera is not quite impressive. It takes average and above average photos. The low light capabilities of this smartphone are not pretty good as well. We would not recommend you this smartphone if you are looking forward to have a smartphone for capturing a lot of photos.

However, 5 MP front camera is impressive as it takes some great selfies. We felt it is perfect for video calling as well. We would rate QMobile Noir i12 average when it comes to camera.

Conclusion:

We had some high hopes while doing QMobile Noir i12 review but we were disappointed at the end of the day. QMobile Noir i12 is definitely better than many out there but it is not the best. You can get better smartphone at this price. Motorola’s Moto G gives tough competition to QMobile Noir i12 and even gets better of it in many areas.

A bigger battery, better camera and a good processor would have the made QMobile Noir i12 the best mid range smartphone available in the market. We hope this QMobile Noir i12 review will assist you in judging if this is the right smartphone for you or not.
