For past few months Sony is in the news because of its new Sony Xperia Z5 series. And today the new Z5 series from Sony is official. Sony has announced three different Xperia Z5 smartphones namely; Sony Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 Premium. Now finally with the announcement of these 3 new Xperia Z5 smartphones all excitement and hype has finally comes to an end.

Apart from the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium other two versions looks more like a disappointment. The concept of launching a premium device with an upgraded display and battery does not sound too good. As a loyal Sony fan we were expecting the premium version to come out with the latest Snapdragon 820 and this would have really made it a premium device. Having said that the Premium version still looks much better than the other Z5 versions.
If you are a Sony Xperai Z3 user just like me then you will not be too much excited with the newly announced Xperia Z5 series. To be honest there is nothing new to push me to buy the new Sony Xperia Z5. Yes, the premium version looks tempting but a 4K display will be too much on the battery.
Now when I look at Sony Xperia Z5 or Xperia Z5 Compact I do not see something new there apart from the camera. So, just because of a better camera sensor and auto focus I would definitely not trade my higher battery capacity. Well, I would have definitely traded it for my Xperia Z3 if they had used the latest Snapdragon 820 but Sony has decided to go with the old and notorious Snapdragon 810.
With quite familiar over heating issues of Snapdragon 810 and nothing new apart from a better camera and fingerprint scanner do you consider Xperia Z5 an upgrade over you Sony Xperia Z3? Well if you ask me then I would say a big NO!!!
