If you are a snapchat user, then you must be familiar that Snapchat allows some built-in geo filters. These geo filters change depending on your location or the type of big event going on in your country or city. Since these are built in filters, therefore, user cannot customize the filter designs. However, Snapchat has announced that now users will have the freedom to design custom geo filters for their next big event.
Before this new major update, all filters were built-in, and there was no option to customize the filters. Last year, Snapchat allowed users to submit geo filters for their respective cities and from all the entries Snapchat picked one filter for each city. However, now they are allowing users to design their custom geo filters for their big events.
According to Snapchat
We initially designed Community Geofilters for public places — but we kept hearing from Snapchatters who wanted a Geofilter for their business or private event, so today we’re announcing something new:
On-Demand Geofilters let you create and publish a Geofilter for your party, wedding, business, or any other place or event. It’s a fun way to help your friends or customers decorate their Snaps, wherever they are!
How it works:
Design — Use your favorite image editor to create a filter. We’ve also provided some templates that are compatible with Photoshop and Illustrator to get you started
Map — Pick a geofence where your filter will appear, then choose the time and dates you want your Geofilter to be available.
Buy — Submit your Geofilter. Our team will quickly review it and, assuming all is well, get it up and running.

As they say, there’s nothing free. So, to use these custom filters you will have to pay the price. You can buy the customized geo filter for an hour or up to thirty days. The pricing starts at $5, and there are different factors which play a significant role in effecting the price. These factors are the size of the filter, and the amount time for which you want the geo filter.
This new feature is available in the UK, USA, and Canada for now and it will be soon available in other countries.
